  • Over the course of this 2 day trip, we will meet up to take a boat ride to catch some pelagic species and explore the woods, marshes and the rocky shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 1 will get started with an afternoon pelagic trip adventure into Frenchman Bay and the Gulf of Maine to see the most awesome iconic symbols of Maine: Puffins and Lighthouses!

Cruise with us to see three island lighthouses, including Petit Manan (where puffins and other off-shore birds are seen from mid-May through mid-August), Mark Island Light and Egg Rock Light.

This tour also stops by Schoodic Island in search of eagles and other wildlife. The boat then takes a scenic ride along Schoodic Peninsula to view a bit of the shoreline of Acadia National Park. Other wildlife includes seals, harbor porpoise, osprey and of course pelagic seabirds such as Shearwaters, Skua, Puffins, Gulls and Terns.

Day 2 We will hit up a couple of trails to check out what is flying around in the woods and beaches of Acadia National Park.
Here we will be on the lookout for various species of shorebirds, herons, ducks, finches, warblers and other boreal songbirds.

Your booking conformation email will contain directions to our meet up spots to get started!

Viewing Aid Recommendations:
A camera equipped with a zoom/telephoto lens (200 mm or more), spotting scope, or binoculars are highly recommended for this trip.

Physical Difficulty:
Moderate (walking on muddy, uneven uphill paths & rocky shoreline) 2 – 5 miles possible)

*Note
It is STRONGLY recommended that you allow 3 days staying in the the Acadia NP area to accommodate any possible schedule changes needed in consideration of the weather to attend the boat trip.
Maine weather can be dicey so sometimes a boat trip may be delayed a day or two depending on offshore sea conditions. The boat company does offer refunds for cancelled boat trips due to weather but it’s worth sticking around through the next day so that we can still go out on the boat once the weather clears.
If you have any questions, please contact me anytime.

The 65 Foot Gulf Craft vessel licensed for 123 passengers but guest numbers are limited to 65 for maximum comfort. There is upper and lower decks, indoor and outdoor seating, clean restrooms and a small galley onboard.
Book today because this trip fills up fast!
